Borders and Territories is not organized chronologically. The artist arranged it through weaves that reveal both her artistic process and the variety of media, formats, and techniques she employs in her daily practice. Navarro has explored the use of sewing patterns in her art, integrating textile techniques learned from the women in her family—her mother, aunts, and two grandmothers—who taught her to sew and appreciate a craft long undervalued. The patterns act as a visual language reflecting themes of daily life, personal experience, memory, and the connection between art and craft. In response to the dominance of contemporary industrial processes, the artist meticulously creates her works by hand, achieving a synergy between traditional artisanal techniques and cutting-edge technology. Many pieces incorporate repurposed elements, adding to their aesthetic complexity.

Her work presents a discourse that merges tradition and contemporary reinterpretation. In her pieces, esparto (a type of grass) becomes not only a medium for visually striking works but also a symbol of the connection to nature and tradition. Through this fusion, Navarro invites viewers to reflect on the role of artistic practices in shaping cultural identity in a constantly evolving world.
